Abstract
The article deals with the Caucasian discourse of V.V. Degoev. The scholar addresses the Caucasus in the context of international policy of the Russian Empire and provides arguments for justification of joining the region to the Russian Empire. Having analyzed a number of the scholar’s works the author shows theoretical and practical significance of V.V. Degoev’s studies.

Abstract

This article examines the historiography of the USSR international relations on a regional level. For the analysis the author selected a range of works representing interdisciplinary approaches to the problem. The article examines the works by both historians and economists, which allows to determine the extend to which the problem was studied in the Soviet historiography. This article reveals the gaps in the scientific historical knowledge of the Soviet period, and identify ways to study the problem in the context of intellectual history.

The author addresses the problem of destruction of old and creation of a new social and political system. The author emphasizes the diversity of local governing bodies which were being supplanted by the Soviet power. The mechanism of this process is shown on the sample of Stavropol region.

The author examines the problem of the Party and the Soviet organs of power activities in order to provide the Red Army, particularly the 197-th Infantry Division, with necessary supplies for a successful defense of Rostov region and pulling the enemy forces away from Stalingrad and the formation of a bridgehead for a counterattack.

Abstract

The article is an attempt to apply psycho-historical method and an interdisciplinary approach to analysis of the practices of perception and regulation of motherhood in different ethnic and religious communities of the North Caucasus. Using the concept of “maternity” the author examines ethical, traditional and legal methods of regulation of maternal behavior, as well as allocates general and specific methods and practices which were typical of different national traditions of the region. The article examines the factors contributing to the transformation of traditional methods and assessments of motherhood, and identifies main areas of the evolution of the phenomenon.

Abstract

Until recently, historical science, especially its foreign representatives, virtually denied that pre-revolutionary Russia underwent stock modernization, pointing out the lack of a number of inherent classical modernization components in the socio-economic transformations in the country's history. The given material on the history of activities of the Stavropol elective district council on the organization of adult education in 1913-1916, on the contrary, gives examples of significant structural, cultural and mental changes in the Russian Empire in the early XX-th century, which are classified as modernization changes.

The authors point out that "standard of speech" implies the culture of implementation of a specific speech activity, accompanying subject activity, as well as an independent activity. The article deals with the feature of prose by M. I. Tsvetaeva, based on the system of defining. The author defines such concepts as denotation, signified contextual metadefinition and relative definition. The author explains terms of the thematic group with invariant meaning "Science". In the process of analysis the author uses different types of metadefinitions. The conclusion is made that in the poet’s texts descriptive, enumerative and negative metadefinitions prevail.

Abstract

The article deals with philosophical, ideological, ethical and aesthetic aspects of the poetry of M.Y. Lermontov and A.S Pushkin. These aspects were expressed in their similar interpretation of deep humanistic spirit and mission of poetry, and in the development of the theme of a poet-prophet. The paper shows that addressing the theme of prophecy the poets highlighted the tragedy of human existence, which was presented in the form of a demon personifying evil world. At the same time they raised the question of the possibility of overcoming this tragedy while elucidating the truth of life, which is the mission of a poet-prophet.

Abstract

The authors examine the destiny of papers of an outstanding Ossetian scholar professor B.A. Alborov, who worked in the Mountain Historical and Linguistic Research Institute of S. M. Kirov. The Institute was a victim of political repression. The article promotes clearing of many unknown questions connected with work of the Research Institute, which made a big contribution to studying of languages and cultures of the North Caucasus.

The article is aimed at theoretical reconstruction of fundamental tenets of the theory of the consumer society in contemporary philosophy. The authors explore their social and cultural context, offer a classification and characterize conceptual apparatus. The author substantiates the thesis that pluralism of approaches to understanding of the consumer society is a theoretical and methodological framework for the development of alternative methods and philosophical approaches to the development of modern societies and resolve problems associated with the consumption.
