В статье исследуются оценки российской эмигрантки Н. Н. Берберовой возрождения масонских тайных обществ России в начале XX века, выявляются его причины, а также численность и состав российских лож. Обосновывается вывод о том, что масонские ложи, согласно Н. Н. Берберовой, претерпели серьезные трансформации в течение 1906-1917 гг. и сыграли,безусловно, важную роль в политической жизни страны. Главным источником является книга Н. Н. Берберовой «Люди и ложи. Русские масоны XX столетия».
The article studies the reflection of the Russian emigrant N.N. Berberova as regards the revival of Masonic secret societies in Russia at the beginning of the XX century, its reasons, and also number and structure of Russian lodges. The conclusion is made that Masonic lodges, according to N. N. Berberova, underwent serious transformations during 1906-1917, and played an important role in political life of the country. The main source is N. N. Berberova's book «People and lodges. Russian masons of the XXth century».
