В статье рассматривается отношение ведущего либерального журнала г. Москвы «Русская мысль» к ситуации на Балканском полуострове в первой половине 1903 г. Журнал полагал, что совместные действия России и Австро-Венгрии смогут остановить разрастание конфликта в Македонии и в других регионах полуострова, а также улучшить положение славянского населения в Османской империи.
The article studies the position of the leading liberal Moscow magazine «Russkaya mysl» on the situation on the Balkan Peninsula in the first half of 1903. The magazine took the position that cooperative actions of Russia and Austria-Hungary could stop the escalation of the conflict in Macedonia and in other regions of the peninsula and also improve the conditions of Slavic population in the Ottoman Empire.
