Статья посвящена анализу понятия «национальный характер» в трудах русских философов первой половины ХХ века. Автор приходит к выводу о том, что русские мыслители используют разные методы изучения данной проблемы: одни определяют основные черты русского национального характера, анализируя сказки народа; другие обращаются к истории народа, ее конкретным фактам, событиям, анализируя поведение русского народа в разных ситуациях. Но все философы утверждают, что русский народ - особенный, избранный Богом и выполняет возложенную на него миссию.
This article analyzes the concept of "national character" in the works of Russian philosophers of the first half of the twentieth century. The author concludes that the Russian thinkers use different methods of studying the topic. Some of them define the main features of Russian national character by analyzing folk tales; others turn to the history of the nation, its specific facts and events analyzing the behavior of the Russian people in a given situation. But all of them are inclined to conclude that the Russian nation is especially marked by God and fulfills its mission.
